State Meet Group

Are you thinking about picking up Swimming again? Or maybe for the first time? Wonder what Masters Swim Team is best for you?

Evanston Masters is a team of swimmers who love swimming. Our team is comprised of about 120 men and women swimmers ages 18-80. Ability levels range from beginners, lap swimmers, tri-athletes to former high school, college and Olympic standouts.

We believe there is no better place to make friends than in the pool. We are athletes at heart who not only love the sport and competing, but cherish the friendships made on the team and appreciate a great party (as our annual parties are legendary on the North Shore of Chicago).

Evanston Masters is a sanctioned team under the Illinois Masters Swimming Association and is part of the national organization, United States Masters Swimming. In our 26-year history, Evanston Masters has captured the Illinois Masters State Championship 23 times!

Practice Structure

We pride ourselves in providing expert coaching for all of our skill levels. Our practices are broken down by skill level into 9 lanes, and each lane has appropriate coaching. Immediate and consistent feedback is provided to make you a better swimmer. We can help you reach your swimming goal whether that means learning a new stroke, completing the swimming portion of an IronMan or breaking a National USMS Record. Attendance isn’t required, however, it is better to come more often and get the most bang for your buck.

The Winter Season runs from October to April and practices are held at the Evanston Township High School with evening practices two days a week and four practices on Saturday and Sundays. Within the season, there are several optional swim meets leading up to the Illinois State Meet.

The Summer Season runs from June to August at the 50 meter outdoor pool at Centennial Park in Wilmette. We have morning and evening workout options and along with a meet at the end of August which we host.

Questions? Reservations? Please feel free to contact us, or just join us for a practice (Just bring a suit, lock and towel and swim a couple workouts on us!)

Hope to see you on deck!
